Part II

The issue that bothers me the most would have to be teen pregnancy. Every year the rate of teens becoming pregnant get higher and higher. Along with the ages getting lower and lower. I work in women’s health and see this with my own eyes everyday. It kills me to see some of these teenage girls who are having baby after baby at the age of sixteen and even some at the age of thirteen. These girls do not understand the toll it takes on t   hem along with the consequences. They think that it is completely okay to have children when they are only sixteen. I have asked some of them if they got pregnant on purpose or by accident. Some say it was because they did not use protection and others have even said because they want to have their children young. The economy is so bad already, that these girls having kids so young are putting them in danger everyday and they don’t understand that. So many people in this world already cannot afford food or a roof over their heads. Then with these girls having children, more and more of these babies are having no food and no shelter. That is not how any child should have to start life.

Part III

I understand that there are some cases of teens becoming pregnant that cannot be helped. But in many cases it can be prevented. There are some teen girls out there that realize that they cannot afford to take care of an infant. So they do decide to do the right thing and put them up for adoption to help those who are not able to conceive. Which I think is a very wonderful thing. I myself was pregnant at sixteen and realized that there was no way I could take care of a child when I was still a child. Therefore I decided to put her up for adoption to help a couple that could not have kids. Now there are some other situations out there where a woman had a baby at fifteen to sixteen and were able to provide for that child due to having a support system at home. Which is a beautiful thing to have in this world.
